History: Faith Lutheran Home Assisted Living
Nearly two years of planning by Faith Lutheran Home's Board of Directors, started with a concept of adding an assisted living complex to their campus at 914 Davidson Drive. The $1.6 million complex was completed with 16 residents enjoying the social ammenitites in a comfortable home atmosphere. LaDonna Gunderson, Administrator (now retired), said "assisted living is a stepping stone that allows people to make the transistion from independent living to assisted living and finally to a nursing home."
The building is attached, through common walkways, to both the Evergreen Independent Living and Faith Lutheran Home nursing home and rehab nursing home. This arrangement is very similar to the continuum of care campuses seen in larger cities.
